Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2/12/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Palettely ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Palettely Chrome extension ("Extension") and our website ("Site").

1. Information we collect

Palettely is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google in order to associate a license with your account.
  • License information. When you purchase Palettely Pro, we store a generated license key, your email address, and a payment identifier (from our payment provider) in Firebase Firestore.
  • Extension usage. The Extension runs locally in your browser and analyzes the colors, gradients, and fonts of the site you are viewing. This information is processed client‑side and is not sent to our servers.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate you via Google Sign‑In.
  • Issue and validate license keys for Palettely Pro.
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Maintain and improve the Extension and Site.

3. Data storage and security

We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore, provided by Google, to securely store account and license information. Access to this data is restricted and protected by Firebase security rules.

4. Payment processing

Payments for Palettely Pro are processed by a third‑party provider (such as Stripe or Lemon Squeezy). We do not store full payment card details on our servers. The payment provider shares a payment identifier with us so we can issue and track your license.

5. Cookies and tracking

The Extension does not use third‑party tracking cookies. Our Site may use minimal analytics to understand aggregate usage (for example, page views and referral sources), but this does not include the contents of the pages you inspect with the Extension.

6. Data retention

We retain account and license information for as long as your license is active and as required by law. You may request deletion of your account data at any time, though this may invalidate your license.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us at support@example.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes take effect means you accept the new policy.

9. Contact

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle data, please email support@example.com.
